This oil and mixed media painting is one from my new series of paintings depicting views out of a train window. I've spent time doing loads of quick charcoal sketches and worked from them to create semi-abstract paintings of my memories of the landscapes and seascapes that caught my attention. This piece shows one of the many waterways weaving their way through the landscapes. I started the painting with a layer of acrylics followed by layers of oil paint. The painting is ready to hang and has Paynes grey painted edges.
